Q: How far is the Lodge from Leavenworth? 
A: Three miles to downtown Leavenworth.

Q: One night stay?
A: The Lodge has adhered to a policy of a two night minimum stay even when a one night is available. This is in respect to the privacy of the guests who are staying multiple nights. We feel this concierge approach is very important to what our guests expect from MHL.

Q: Are the rooms in the main Lodge no longer available?
A: That is correct. The tens rooms are no longer available. We are offering just the two private cabins.

Q: Is the Lodge LGBTQ friendly?
A: Yes

Q: Wedding, Corporate Retreats & Family Reunions?
A: The Lodge is no longer hosting group events.

Q: Do you accept dogs?
A: No. We suggest contacting the Leavenworth Visitor Center for options.

Q: Can a sports car drive up to the Lodge in the Spring, Summer & Fall?
A: Yes, the road is a gravel and dirt base with a few areas where you may need to move from left to right to ensure ground clearance.

Q: Wednesday’s & Thursday’s are often shown as full?
A: This is correct, to allow for consistent days off for staffing.

Q: Is the Lodge open in the winter?
A: MHL is now closed from mid November through early April.

Q: We have a four wheel drive, can we drive up Mountain Home Road to see the Lodge in the winter?
A: No, Mountain Home Road is a County / Public road that is closed from December through March or when snow is present on the road due to the 23% grade.

Q: Is the swimming pool open year around?
A: No, we open the pool in late April and close it in mid October. When daytime high temperatures are reaching low 70’s we are actively heating the pool. Our hot tub is always available.

Q: How far are the cabins from the Lodge?
A: Approximately 100 to 130 yards.

Q: Are there a common areas in the Lodge?
A: Yes, there is a large fireplace with redwood burl wood sofas in the dining room and a surround sound entertainment room on our lower level.

Q: Is there cellphone service?
A: Yes, AT&T & Verizon have good coverage. Reception can vary on the property and in the buildings.

Q: Do you provide bikes to rent?
A: No, we do recommend Arlberg Sports here in Leavenworth for mountain bike rentals.

Q: Are children allowed?
A: Children under the age of 16 are welcome at the Resort only when a group reserves both cabins to ensure the peace and seclusion of other guests.

Q: Dietary issues?
A: Our Chefs will gladly accommodate any dietary issues. Please contact us in advance to make these arrangements.

Q: Can we take the train (Amtrak) to Leavenworth?
A: Unfortunately we suggest no. Due to late the late arrival and very early departure logistics are difficult. The train platform is located 5 miles from the Lodge and 3 miles from Leavenworth, thus a shuttle service is needed.
